Jake Lamb, on the disabled list with shoulder inflammation, had an off-day from his rehab schedule Wednesday, but he remains on track to play in a game next week in extended spring training, Lovullo said.

Shelby Charles Miller...Is a 2009 graduate of Brownwood High School…threw 4 nohitters in high school, including 3 straight (1 perfect game) during the Texas High School playoff s as a junior…was 10-2 with a 1.90 ERA and 153 strikeouts in 77.0 innings as a senior…also was an all-state punter and all-district wide receiver...Signed a letter of intent to play college baseball at Texas A&M...Signed by Ralph Garr, Jr. (Cardinals).


Limited to 4 starts due to Tommy John surgery, going 2-2 with a 4.09 ERA and a .230 opponent average...Left his start on April 23 vs. Dodgers with right forearm tightness and was placed on the 10-day disabled list on April 24...underwent Tommy John surgery on May 10 in Los Angeles, Calif. (performed by Dr. Neil ElAttrache)...Held the opposition to 3 or fewer runs in each of his 4 starts prior to his injury.
